Riyadh (Diplomat.so) - Saudi Arabia's Public Prosecution has issued a warning against online harassment, stressing that such acts constitute a criminal offense under the Kingdom's laws.
In a statement published on its official account on the social media platform X, the Public Prosecution explained that any statement, act, or gesture carrying sexual connotations directed at another person, and that infringes on their body, honor, or modesty, is considered harassment and is punishable by law.

The statement clarified that the crime of harassment extends to actions committed through modern technological means, including social media platforms and digital applications. Authorities emphasized the importance of adhering to legal regulations and respecting societal values within the digital and information space.

The Public Prosecution added that the Anti-Harassment Law is designed to protect individuals’ privacy, dignity, and personal freedom, as part of broader efforts to safeguard society and promote positive behavior in digital environments.
