Mogadishu (Diplomat.so) - The Acting Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, concluded on Saturday (January 13) two courses in the Italian language at the headquarters of the Diplomatic Institute, located within the Foreign Ministry building in the capital, Mogadishu.
The language courses, which were organized by the Diplomatic Institute, aimed to enhance the language proficiency of employees in various departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. A total of 40 participants benefited from the two training sessions, contributing to the overall diplomatic capabilities of the ministry.
The A1-L1 training course, spanning four months, and the A1-L2 course, extending over eight months, covered a spectrum of language skills and competencies. The courses focused on equipping participants with essential Italian language skills, ranging from basic conversational abilities (A1-L1) to a more advanced level (A1-L2).
The closing ceremony for both training sessions was attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Hamza Adan Haadoow, newly appointed Italian Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Pier Mario Daccò Coppi, and the Director of the Diplomatic Institute, Mr. Abdiwali Hassan Hussein (Fadilatahu).
Certificates were distributed to the participants as a recognition of their dedication and successful completion of the language courses.
The Acting Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude to the Diplomatic Institute for organizing these courses, emphasizing the importance of linguistic skills in fostering effective international communication and diplomacy.
