During the visit, the Minister of Defence urged the troops to maintain peace, strengthen national unity, and resist foreign attempts to divide the country. He expressed satisfaction that both the Somali national flag and the flag of the regional state are now displayed in Guumays, an area that had previously been excluded from official control.

The Minister of Defence also called for continued efforts to extend national unity to areas still influenced by separatist groups, emphasizing the importance of Somali solidarity and cooperation.
