Mogadishu (diplomat.so) - The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Hamza Adan Haadoow, received on Monday (4 March) in Mogadishu a prominent delegation headed by H.E. Dr. Suresh Kumar M. , Joint Secretary (JS) in the West Asia and North Africa (WANA) Division of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, and held talks with him on strengthening ties and broadening cooperation between the two friendly countries in various sectors.
A key agenda item was the discussion surrounding the reinstatement of an Indian diplomatic mission in Mogadishu. Both parties recognized the importance of this step in easing visa procedures for Somali citizens traveling to India for medical purposes. This move is expected to facilitate smoother access to essential healthcare services for individuals from Somalia seeking treatment in India.
