Kampala (diplomat.so): During the recent NAM summit held in Kampala, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud engaged in a series of bilateral talks with key leaders from across the globe. Among the prominent figures were Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, and Vice President of Türkiye, Cevdet Yılmaz.


The discussions primarily focused on bolstering the unity and solidarity of Somalia, especially in the face of shared global challenges. President Mohamud emphasized the importance of fostering strong bilateral relationships and cooperation to address common issues affecting the region.



The leaders exchanged views on a range of topics, including diplomatic ties, economic collaboration, and strategies for addressing pressing challenges in the region.
