President of Somaliland administration calls for the resumption of talks with Somalia

Hargeisa, Somalia’s second capital and the capital of Somaliland administration ( DIPLOMAT.SO) – The President of Somaliland Administration Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud Siilaanyo announced that his authority is ready to negotiate again with the Somali government to resolve all outstanding issues and reach a comprehensive agreement.

Ahmed Siilaanyo addressed the Joint Session of both Houses of Parliament at Hargeisa city this morning.

Siilaanyo told that the exchange of views is the perfect solution, warning destabilize security and stability.

He called on the Federal Government of Somalia to resume talks, he added, “people in need to a concrete result of the talks.”

Somaliland President says his administration will not regret for the declaration of secession from great Somalia, but Somalia and the international community believe that the north-west of the country, known as “Somaliland” is part and parcel of the Federal Republic of Somalia .

It is worth mentioning that Turkish government plays a key role to mediate between the government of Somalia and Somaliland administration, where the two sides held several rounds of talks in Turkey, Djibouti and the United Arab Emirates.
