Somali suspect of murder appears in a Court in Scotland
Glasgow , Scotland ( Agencies + DIPLOMAT.SO) – A man is to stand trial charged with shooting a man in an Edinburgh street.
Mohammed Ahmed is accused of being involved in the murder of Mohamed Abdi in the Duddingston area of Edinburgh on May 26, 2013.
The 29-year-old appeared at the High Court in Glasgow on Thursday where he pleaded not guilty.
Mr Abdi is said to have been shot with a sub-machine pistol and revolver.
Ahmed is further said to have been involved in the attempted murder of Mohamed Farah and Abdulrakim Abdelrahman during the same incident.
It is also claimed he fled the UK for Dubai and Somalia after the killing.
He is further accused of a separate assault allegation, being concerned in the supply of cocaine and two charges under the Firearms Act.
