Somalia: Turkish President inaugurate projects in Mogadishu
Mogadishu ( Anadolu Agency + DIPLOMAT.SO) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Somali capital, Mogadishu, on Sunday as part of his official visit to the Horn of Africa.
Erdoğan was welcomed by Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, and Turkey’s ambassador to Somalia Olgan Bekar.
Turkey’s president decided to visit Somalia despite a bomb exploding near a hotel in Mogadishu where a Turkish delegation was staying.
Erdoğan and Health Minister Mehmet Müezzinoğlu attended the official opening of a training and research hospital, built by Turkey’s international cooperation agency TIKA.
