Somali Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed struggling with the President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in the parliament sessions

Mogadishu ( DIPLOMAT.SO) – The Prime minister of Federal Government of Somalia Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed issued statement about the clan clashes called the warring parties in Mudug region to immediately cease fire and refrain from anything that lead to fresh bloodshed and come back to the negotiating table.

“The administrations in the region are required to participate in conflict management and resolution of the clan clashes” PM Abdiweli said.

The Prime Minister has called on the elders, intellectuals and civil society organizations to stand , to calm the situation and to provide a peaceful atmosphere where the warring clans can systematically solve their differences.

At least 15 people have been killed in the clashes and 20 others were wounded mostly are pastoralists in Harardere district, reports say.
