Arsenal asked Pep Guardiola to be her new coach replaces Arsene Wenger
London ( Agencies + DIPLOMAT.SO) – Arsenal have reportedly placed Pep Guardiola at the top of their wishlist should they decide to part ways with long-standing manager Arsene Wenger.
Questions over the Frenchman’s future at the Emirates rumbled last season, but speculation dispelled when Wenger signed a new contract in the summer.
However, the Gunners hierarchy are considering their options for the future, with Everton boss Roberto Martinez also believed to be on the shortlist.
According to the Daily Star, while a number of names have been considered, the North London outfit will try to lure Guardiola from Bayern Munich to the club should they decide to sack Wenger.
Guardiola, who spent four successful years coaching Barcelona, joined Bayern last year and won the Bundesliga title in his first season in charge of the club.
Wenger, who has been Arsenal coach for the last 18 years, has struggled for consistency with his side this season so far having overseen just four victories in 11 Premier League matches. For more news and stories, join us on Facebook,Twitter , or contact us through our Email: email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org
