Somali intelligence carry out operations against Al shabaab
Mogadishu ( DIPLOMAT.SO) – The National Intelligence and Security Agency of Somalia ( NISA) forces launched intensive door-to-door searches at some villages in Mogadishu on Wednesday.
Somali intelligence forces started house-to-house crackdown after security agencies had received tip-offs that members of the Al shabaab with bad intent are hiding in some villages as spokesman of the ministry of national security Mohamed Yusuf Osman told the media outlets.
The operation was conducted by the National Intelligence, Security Agency, and Somali army.
A spokes person for Ministry of internal security Mohamed Yusuf says such operations are part of the wider efforts of the government to improve the overall security of the capital, Mogadishu.
