#Ethiopia’s PM receives former #Somali warlord
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia ( DIPLOMAT.SO) – Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn has met in Addis Ababa with former Somali warlord Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Madobe), who is currently leading the Jubaland State of Somalia with the support of Kenyan tanks and subversive policy of Ethiopia .
Ethiopia’s further support to Jubaland State of Somalia was announced while the former warlord Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Madobe) met with Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn in Addis Ababa on Thursday.
Ahmed Madobe,former prisoner to Ethiopia,have a strong opposition and not supported by the Somali clans residing in the provinces of Middle Juba and Gedo,but they refused his leadership claim of the region.
Prime Minister Hailemariam received the former warlord at this office assuring him of more Ethiopian support in ensuring peace and stability in Jubaland State of Somalia .
Hailemariam said Ethiopia will partner with other countries in Africa to strengthen collective support to Somalia.
Girma Temesgen, Director General of African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, briefed journalists after the meeting of the leaders that Ethiopia will render essential help to Somalia to strengthen the capacity of the existing internationally accepted government of Somalia.
The director said Ethiopia will work along with the Somali people to make election 2016 democratic and participatory among the Somali people.
Former warlord Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Madobe) stated that he exchanged valuable ideas with the Ethiopian Prime Minister on ways of consolidating the fight against Al-shabaab and to maintain the prevailing peace and security in Somalia.
